Networking Carolina artists, that are putting in work in the Carolina’s, together with each other is something we truly support. This is something that there is a serious lack of in the underground industry. The most liberating thing is breaking away from that myth that there is some huge competition for the throne. The music industry is wide open and there is simply no good reason for artists of the Carolinas not to band together to make a strong front. The reward of a successful collaboration is the unique result that cannot be produced by either of the parties working alone.

Greensboro artist J-Sun of Above Average 365 has made it his mission this year to network and collab with any and all artists in the Carolinas and surrounding areas. He recently was seen on Facebook opening his studio doors to any and all who want to record, collab or just vibe with him and other members of Above Average. So far this year J-Sun has worked on tracks with Coke and Leel from Above Average, DoeBoy, Top Flight Airlines of Greensboro, Kayse, Woodstock, Tef Kaluminoti of Roc City Records and of course the Above Average 365 Superstar Jaquizzy.

Tef Kaluminoti and Breezerachi are set to drop another Carolina Anthem entitled “Carolina Boyz” with a remix soon in the works. Acts set to be featured on the remix are J-Sun of Above Average 365 and a few more un-named at this time.
Several more collabs are in the works under the direction and coordination of 5StarPromotions in the next few weeks. We’ll keep you posted as soon as the projects are available for listening and viewing.
With the cut-throat industry the way it is right now, we have to sit and shake our heads every time we see talented underground artists avoiding or impeding the progress of each other. Take a moment to think about what a “movement” really is. Plenty of Carolina Artists are ready to join together and make a true movement, will you be a part of it or the part of the crowd on the outside looking in?
