Foxie Millero is the pseudonym of Miami born writer O’Damia Miller.
The character was created as the darker, sexier, uninhibited version of the street smart storyteller. Foxie Millero a combination that consists of a nickname given by a close friend (Foxie) and her last name and first initial (Millero).
O’Damia Miller was born August 20, 1972 in Miami, Florida. She began her career as a singer/songwriter at nineteen and was briefly signed to Slip N Slide Records in 1993. With no experience or management O’Damia acted as her own representation and weaved through the industry as it was before the music revolution came to the South in the mid to late nineties. In 1998 on a trip to Cancun, Mexico O’Damia met music executive Rob Love for Def Jam Records which led to her first industry gig. Rob introduced O’Damia to Eugene “Doc Fresh” Robinson a Def Jam South account manager who hired O’Damia as an account rep for Phatman Promotions/Def Jam South. In this role she promoted various Def Jam talents like J-Rule, Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel, Case and Method Man and Redman. O’Damia learned about the politics of the music industry and adapted the rules she has always stood by even unto this day “It’s a big industry yet a small one. Work hard, Respect yourself and Stay focused”.
O’Damia continued to write and do background tracks for Iconz Music Group and Poe Boy Entertainment. O’Damia featured on Cognito and Jackie-O’s albums under the Poe Boy label in 2002 and 2004. O’Damia then turned her sights on having more control of her career and began ghost-writing, penning songs for Iconz Music Group/Drum Majorz.
In 2005 she officially began her literary career and released a debut novella “P.O.P. (The Power of P…) with 4Huny, Inc. with whom she is no longer affiliated. In 2009 JC “Fentz” Louis called on O’Damia to co-write the sequel to his Indy hit film Bloodline. O’Damia is currently holding a position as publicist for Iconz Music & Films. She is also a contributing writer for www.eeemagazineas well aswww.24hourhiphop.com. O’Damia is scheduled to release her first body of work as an author in summer 2010. She currently resides in her hometown of Miami, Florida.
After having one of the most successful years of his music career (2008 & 2009) Snook aka da Rokk Starr has positioned himself to be a force to reckon with not just on the local indie scene but more importantly within the national major circles in 2009. As a new year lurks on the horizon Snook has positioned himself to be one of the biggest stars to shine for the state of South Carolina and it hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans, radio personality, or DJs both at home and abroad.
In 2008, Snook dropped “From a Minor to a Major” Vol. 1 hosted by DJ B-lord and DJ Frosty (which went to win Best Host Mixtape at the South Carolina Music Awards), “From a Minor to a Major” Vol. 2 hosted by Bigga Rankins, and “Let’s Smoke” hosted by “Mr. Southern Smoke” himself DJ Smallz. Also, in this year Snook would go to Houston, Texas and win “Carolinas (NC/SC) Artist of the Year”, in Jacksonville, FL he won “Grinder Artist of the Year” and on the home court in Greenville, SC he won “Indie Grind Artist of the Year”. Snook’s “grind” mentality was recognized and this prompted him to be placed on the Southern Smoke College and Hypnotized Tours.
Continuing with his success in ’08, Snook went on to have three singles see play through the airways; “Models” feat. Lil Boosie (peaked at 155 BDS), “Money” feat. Yo Gotti and “Untouchable” feat. T-Pain which to this present day is still undeniably one of his greatest tracks every recorded in his fans eyes. Snook graced the cover of both the Niche Magazine and Hot Block and he also made the “Patiently Waiting” section in the Ozone Magazine along with being mention by DJ Smallz in the Super Bowl edition to be in his Top Ten for hottest mixtapes out “Let’s Smoke”.
In 2009, Snook hit the streets and forced radio to pick up on two singles, “Barney” and “Presidential Freak” which featuring LeLe aka “Bad Bad”. “Barney” was a track that Snook had for the streets and hoods but after much request from his fans and DJs supporting the record it’s been garnering play on both urban radio stations in Columbia, SC.
